What is Tree Pruning?
Tree pruning the strategic removal of limbs that are either dangerous or impeding the healthy growth of the tree.
Close inspection of trees, particularly those growing near houses, driveways or other areas where a falling limb might cause damage to a vehicle or property is the first step.
More horizontal branches are an obvious example of what is concerning. Limbs with dead areas is another, limbs that rub on other limbs can cause scarring and often rot.
Trees with large crotches in the trunk are susceptible to splitting.
